This Privacy Policy explains how QuizCash ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the QuizCash mobile application and related services (the "Platform"). QuizCash is an educational quiz platform offering practice quizzes, exam preparation, institution-hosted assessments, and skill-based knowledge contests with optional cash prizes, operated from India. By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.
This Policy complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
1. Eligibility
The Platform's educational features (practice quizzes, exam preparation, institution-hosted assessments) are available to all users. Cash-prize quiz contests and prize withdrawals are available only to users aged 18 years or older. Minors who use the educational features through an institution must have parental or guardian consent collected by the institution.
Users must comply with all applicable laws of their state. Where local laws restrict participation in any cash-prize feature, users must refrain from such participation.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Account: name, email, mobile number, date of birth, gender, profile photo.
- Identity / KYC: PAN (mandatory for prize disbursement and TDS), and Aadhaar last-four (optional, for higher transaction limits where required).
- Financial: UPI ID, bank account / IFSC for withdrawals, transaction history.
- Communications: support tickets, feedback, and any content you submit.
Information collected automatically:
- Device data: device model, OS version, language, time zone, app version.
- Log data: IP address, access timestamps, crash logs, network type.
- Gameplay: quizzes joined, scores, coins earned, leaderboard rank, prize history.
- Advertising identifier: Google Advertising ID (AAID), used by AdMob.
- Push tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for notifications.
Information from third parties:
- Razorpay — payment status and reference IDs for deposits and withdrawals.
- Firebase (Google) — analytics events and crash reports.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the Platform; deliver quiz contests and prizes.
- Verify your identity (KYC) before disbursing cash prizes.
- Process deposits and withdrawals via Razorpay or other payment partners.
- Deduct and deposit TDS at 30% on net winnings under Section 194BA of the Income-tax Act, 1961, and file Form 26Q / issue Form 16A.
- Detect and prevent fraud, multi-accounting, and meet Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) obligations.
- Send transactional and service notifications (via FCM).
- Send marketing communications — only with your consent.
- Analytics, performance monitoring, and crash diagnostics.
- Show advertisements via Google AdMob.
- Respond to legal, regulatory, or government requests.
4. Third Parties We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only where necessary:
- Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant).
- Google LLC / Firebase — analytics, crash reporting (Crashlytics), push notifications (FCM), and advertising (AdMob). Data may be processed on Google servers outside India under standard contractual safeguards.
- Income-tax Department, Government of India — TDS filings and prize-winner reports as legally mandated.
- Law-enforcement and regulators — when compelled by valid legal process.
- Service providers bound by confidentiality and DPDP-compliant data-processing agreements (hosting, customer support tooling, fraud-prevention vendors).
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Financial and KYC records are retained for at least eight (8) years after the last transaction, as required by the Income-tax Act and Prevention of Money Laundering Act, even after account deletion.
- Log and analytics data are retained for up to 12 months.
- Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent.
6. Your Rights (DPDP Act, 2023)
- Right to access — obtain a summary of your personal data we hold.
- Right to correction and erasure — subject to legal retention obligations.
- Right to withdraw consent — for processing that is consent-based; this does not affect lawful processing already done.
- Right to grievance redressal — via our Grievance Officer (see §11).
- Right to nominate — appoint another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

7. Security
We use HTTPS / TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. PAN and bank details are stored in encrypted form. No method is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but follow industry best practices.
8. Cookies and SDKs
The app embeds the following SDKs that may set identifiers or log usage:
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google)
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob
- Razorpay SDK
You may opt out of personalised ads from your device settings ("Reset Advertising ID" and "Opt out of Ads Personalisation").
9. International Data Transfers
Firebase and AdMob may store data on Google servers located outside India. Such transfers are governed by Google's data-processing addenda and standard contractual clauses, ensuring protection equivalent to that under Indian law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
